The much-discussed trailer for Matt Reeves' The Batman is viewable in 4K. The new take on the legendary Caped Crusader has been garnering a lot of attention. It will be the first solo Batman film since 2012's The Dark Knight Rises
This past weekend was big for DC fans. During day one of DC FanDome, a number of big updates were revealed for the company's upcoming film slate. A new trailer was released for Wonder Woman 1984Shazam 2The Batman
Over on Vimeo, Reeves has shared the trailer for The Batman
As 4K resolution should accomplish, everything pops out. From Batman's suit, to the Riddler's onscreen appearance, the detail is impeccable. If anything, this version of the trailer will make viewers even more hyped to see the film. One of the biggest parts of the trailer is establishing the Riddler as the main antagonist. Reeves talked very positively about Paul Dano's performance as the villain, going as far to saying this version of the character is unlike any Riddler that has come before. This looks to be a far cry from Jim Carrey's portrayal of the Riddler in Batman Forever
Of course, Riddler isn't the only villain featured in the trailer. Fan also finally see Zoƫ Kravitz as Catwoman, who gets a few key scenes. It will be interesting seeing where her character arc goes in this version of the Batman universe. Those looking to get more content in the new continuity can look forward to HBO Max's Gotham PD prequel show, which takes place during the Caped Crusader's first year on the job. The Batman is establishing a grand new version of the title character. So far, everything is pointing to it being a welcome take.
